Jason Borrelli is a full-service Investment Advisor  with 10 years experience in the financial industry. His Courses and license, including The Canadian Securities Course, CSI’s Canadian Insurance Course (prerequisite course to obtain Life License Qualification Program ( LLQP) and The Wealth Management Essentials, combined with his extensive experience evaluating client needs and objectives allow him to deliver independent financial advice to help clients meet their short and long term investment and retirement goals.

Born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Jason, his wife Tara, and their three children are active sports enthusiasts in the community. Jason coaches his children in soccer and kickboxing, and the family enjoys a round of golf from time to time. Jason also volunteers as the vice-president for a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance to allow underprivileged youth to participate in education and sport.

Frank is registered as an Investment Advisor with the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) and is licensed in Ontario for both Securities and Life Insurance solutions. He also holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation.

The Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation is the industry standard for discretionary investment and portfolio management services.

It is recognized by Canadian securities regulators as meeting the proficiency requirements for those applying for approval in a portfolio management registration category. This allows for the specialization required when working with affluent and/or institutional clients.

A focus is given to proficiency towards portfolio construction, alternative investments and evaluating investment performance.

Frank understands that every person is unique in regard to their financial goals and personal life situations. When providing investment advice and financial solutions, Frank keeps that need for specialized advice top of mind. He believes that personalized service is essential.

As an Investment Advisor he’s dedicated to understanding your personal financial needs and will help build a financial plan focused on your specific goals. He also knows the importance of understanding the level of risk you are comfortable with when investing.

Frank deals with clients at all stages of life; purchasing a first home, financing a child’s post-secondary education or planning for retirement. He believes your plan must reflect both your current situation as well as your future goals.

He knows that your plan should adapt as you and your family’s needs change over time. Frank will monitor the progress of your portfolio and determine if it is necessary to make periodic changes to keep you on your prescribed path.

Frank and his wife were both born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie and have 2 lovely daughters. Away from the business, Frank enjoys staying fit, cooking and eating while spending time with family and friends!

Brook Joyce joins our team as an Administrative Assistant focusing on the IIROC operations in our branch. Having worked much of her career in finance, Brook understands the importance of strong administrative support for her Advisors and Clients. Brook uses her experience in finance along with prompt and personal attention to detail to provide excellent client service. Her goal is to ensure that all interactions are positive and meet client’s needs.

Brook and her partner Tim recently moved to Sault Ste. Marie from Southern Ontario to put down roots. They love everything the outdoors has to offer here.

Born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Miriam brings with her over 14 years of financial industry experience. She holds a bachelor's degree in International Economic Relations from the University of Toronto and a master’s degree in Russian/East European Economic Relations from Carleton University. Having completed the Canadian Securities and Branch Manager courses through the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI), Miriam is licensed with the Mutual Fund Dealer’s Association in Ontario, Alberta and Newfoundland. Prior to joining Investment Planning Counsel in 2014, Miriam worked at another investment firm in Sault Ste. Marie. Earlier in her career, she had the opportunity to live in Germany and Croatia, working at Oracle and IBM. Miriam made the decision to return to her hometown in 2006 to be closer to family. Miriam understands that each investor has unique financial goals and needs which require specialized strategies and planning. Ensuring that clients receive objective and expert advice is of paramount importance to her. Discussions with clients are individualized in order to recognize and accommodate unique situations by offering “advice your way”. She understands the importance of flexibility by providing financial strategies applicable to changing life circumstances. Happy to call Sault Ste. Marie her home, Miriam loves spending time with her lovely daughters Kristina and Adriana. Blessed to live in such a beautiful area, they enjoy hiking and cross-country skiing together as well as attending concerts and theatre productions. Miriam is delighted to spend time with extended family and friends, enjoying the outdoors, cooking and sharing good food and engaging in insightful conversation.
